Some of my new Stihls don’t start this easily lol
I'm sawed up for my lifetime have another 268 and 272 on the way.
My 257 is my small saw ported and muff modded
I run a 18" .325 on it.
@DuratecMan10 this would make you a good one
Cake to work on and good runner's.

First project, not actually on the bench as it was easier to work on at floor level. Owner complained it was hard to start and ran poorly. After confirming compression was good, spark was good, installing a new carburetor kit, testing the fuel line, and repairing the nearly melted spark plug wire I noticed the impulse line was cracked right at the barb on the saw. Problems solved.

Received a phone call yesterday (local Stihl dealer give my number to projects they don't want to undertake) about an Eager Beaver with a broken starter rope. Replaced the rope, spur sprocket was shot so I dressed the bar, sharpened the chain, replace the drum/sprocket, and found a good used chain to go along with the one on the saw.

Then this afternoon another fellow showed up with two more saws, the Craftsman just needed the chain sharpened, the Homelite needs the fuel line replaced at the bare minimum.

If anyone recognizes the Craftsman, I need a clutch drum.

Rebuilt a tilly for the 26620191023_121244_HDR.jpgfound a 288 gasket to fit it
I'm out of 266/268/272 gaskets
I use a dab of grease to hold it in place until i get the carb bolts started.

That’s awesome. I’m glad that you’ve enjoyed it that much. It looks much better with that sticker!

I didn’t get to work on any saws tonight but I did rebuild these three old ratchets. I could have warrantied then but by replace an good old American made ratchet with a Chinese one. These are the one with the “V” stamp.
