Last 2 sets of 6203’s I ordered from Husqvarna had no markings at all and we’re not in a box. Just a cheap cellophane wrapper. Called my husky rep and couldn’t get a straight answer. That was back in May. Also ordered a box of spark plugs (I have always received NGK) got a box of retail display Champions.....,

Never have seen a part from Husqvarna that wasn't tagged or bagged with information including the country of origin.
Husqvarna has used many different brands of spark plugs over the years, might need to be more specific on that one possibly.

Not trying to stir anything up here. Charlotte branch sent down a new 395 that lasted about a week before it got crushed. It had a Champion plug in it from the São Paulo factory. I assumed they had made a switch. I haven’t ordered plugs from Husqvarna since. Those bearings came straight from the S.C. warehouse to our door.....twice. Thought it may have been a mistake, that’s why I reached out to my technical rep.

Some saw's had Champion's from the factory so I would gather technically are the replacement part. So the IPL will list them as the replacement. 288's were this way off the top of my head. There is even a Husqvarna branded spark plug...

Just wanted to give a big thanks to @Stevetheboatguy for providing me with some badazz black and blue pull cord to get this baby back in the cutting rotation! The suspense is killin me considering i only ran MAYBE 1/4 tank through it since getting it back from weight loss class and a total 261/2 conversion that was hosted by @dustinwilt68!
Thanks to the both of them;) image.jpgIMG_6833.JPGIMG_6835.JPGIMG_6836.JPG

Picked up this gem 257 for $15 off marketplace. Guy was honest, said he bought it new, and the coil went out second season he had it. It had sat until a few years ago when he decided to get it going again, he bought a cheap Chinese coil and put in it, said it ran for 1 tank and quit again. Took it home and took out the cheap coil, there was evidence it had arced against the case, not good. I happened to have a coil on a junk 55 rancher that matched the OEM the saw should have had, put it in, and it fired up, but quickly died. On further examination, the fuel filter was laying in the bottom of the tank, and upon cleaning the carb I found the screen to be completely clogged. Really makes me wonder if the original coil was bad, or had the filter fallen off back then. At any rate, after a good cleaning and new carb kit the saw runs like new, 165 PSI on compression test. Going to make someone a dandy firewood saw.
