Why do people install the wrong bolts in the handle so often? I had a 3 series like this too. The long bolts started to wear holes in the crank case. I caught it while they were just divots so nothing was leaking. A little JB and I’m gtg. Just a little extra insurance.

New - used tank is on its way!

I've got a 2159 that had holes worn all the way through, used the jb weld for fuel tanks that comes in a stick form. Been doing great for around a year now

I didn’t get to work on any saws tonight but I did rebuild these three old ratchets. I could have warrantied then but by replace an good old American made ratchet with a Chinese one. These are the one with the “V” stamp.

When I used to bring my Craftsman ratchets in before they went cheap they would exchange the tool, then they started replacing the pawl at the register. Now you have to accept a made in China POS.
I no longer buy Craftsman tools, I have 5 American made sets that I use.

I’ll only bring in the newer USA made ones that were crappy anyway.

This one was not worn through and I probably could have just left it alone without leaking but since was apart I wanted to fill it in. Maybe an OCD thing? I have a set of correct bolts

Put together a 3.3 Craftsman, put a short block 3.3 in place of a 2.8.

Runs nice. Among the last of the better made Poulans.

Has a muffler mod as well. Wanted to do a Poulan Pro 330 intake boot and carb swap but can't find a carb for a reasonable amount of money.

Will post a picture later today or tonight. Got to move some firewood right now.

I just found a new hiding spot last night from my hens. About 20 eggs laying in an old hay manger.

All of them failed the float test, so they've been there a while :-(

Float test? Never heard of that

If you're not sure your egg is fresh, get a bowl of tap water. Gently set the egg in the water.

If it lays horizontally, it's fresh.
If it sort of floats at an angle, it's still good, but not really fresh.
If it stays on the bottom, but points up and down instead of flat, it's probably not going to kill you, but I wouldn't chance it.
If it floats, it's definitely bad. Only good for egging houses.

Last 2 sets of 6203’s I ordered from Husqvarna had no markings at all and we’re not in a box. Just a cheap cellophane wrapper. Called my husky rep and couldn’t get a straight answer. That was back in May. Also ordered a box of spark plugs (I have always received NGK) got a box of retail display Champions.....,
