Ask Dave for sure, I was told that they were able to swap those hard rings out for a caber. I’m not sure at what point they changed it up.

Shipping would probably kill it, but I have a eager beaver 3.7 you can have. Same saw just a different name. It was a runner, but the oil pump didn't work. The brake and starter are perfect.First chainsaws I ever used.

DDave has done some testing with the rings on his wiseco pistons and they take the plating off. That's all I know
