That dont help. I got to get one for a local. I am guessing 400-500.
Local dealers are about worthless so I dont bother anymore.

I'm getting a bar new unused. Just trying to see how much they go for new list.

Serious question:

Has anyone tried modifying the lower edge of the intake skirt on a piston to “match” the opening of the intake port?

So basically match the radius of the intake port on the bottom of the skirt. As the intake opens instead of it being semi-progressive opening, it will open all at once-ish.

This will leave the rest of the skirt for support, reducing the liklihood of catching the modded skirt on the bottom lip of the intake.

Can't run the piston in a stihl cylinder though. Gonna port a Meteor and use that with the Dominant piston since the plating is so tough
Good luck with that meteor jug.

Ask Dave for sure, I was told that they were able to swap those hard rings out for a caber. I’m not sure at what point they changed it up.

Or, if you want you could leave the bottom of the skirt intact and have two holes on either side instead of a full cutout notch. Best of both worlds.
