Hopefully parts show up today.

I have gotten absolutley hosed on shipping parts out. A box of Stihl 009 parts I shipped out apparently leaked a little bar oil and stained the corner of the box. It sat in the PO for a week waiting for a ‘HazMat certified contractor’ to return it to sender. I had to go pick it up. Repackaged and shipped again and now its nowhere to be found.
Wow that sucks man:eek:

I learned some disturbing news last night.

The local BOCES offers an Arborist Training Program … it is ONLY offered in Spanish!

So my tax dollars are being used to train illegals to take jobs away from us!!!

SUCKS!!!

Got this from a friend, he says it keeps burning out spark plugs. Runs about 2 hours and then just quits. He says spark plugs just stop making spark. Slap a new plug in and it works fine for a couple tanks. Brand new plug in it and he didn’t have any “burnt out” plugs to give me to assist in diagnosis.

Very low hour 1999 Husqy 51, case was cracked under the chain tensioner where some idiot cranked down the bar nuts without aligning the adjuster stud in the bar. When i told the owner what it would cost to repair it (tearing down saw, new case halve, complete reassembly with new bearings/seals/gaskets, etc) he told me to keep it. Tore it down to try a JB weld fix just for poopies and hahas and found this:

Flywheel side bearing had an odd hot spot. I mean the the race is literally blued all the way through.

The hot spot in the bearing was pointing DOWN on the flywheel side. It might have made sense if the hot spot pointed towards the rear of the saw, would make me think the chain had been run over tightened. But, both bearings still feel really good.

I have not cleaned the bearings at all. This is exactly how they came out. The corresponding hot spot in the case:
