Pistons seal against the bore because the charge gets behind the ring and pushes it against the bore
However Asians of carbon can break away and get stuck between the piston , the piston ring and the bore gouging the surface .

Build ups like that are either too much oil or labouring the the engine so throttle is wide open but engine is running well below full speed .
Or some times both .

Agreed.

Any oil with the FD mark is going to be a good oil for most people under normal conditions.

The number above the mark is unique to the oil tested and can be referenced against the official list.

Outside of well established oils like Amsoil make sure the FD stamp is on the bottle. It’s partially marketing but if the oil has the stamp Jaso tested has and certified it. Since that costs extra some companies don’t bother with it and just claim their oil “meets” jaso specs. Amsoil has the deserved reputation where they don’t bother with the certification because they have a reputation they can back up. Other companies make similar claims but you’re taking a risk.

It’s a bit of a marketing thing but Jaso has a good reputation and stands as a reliable benchmark in the 2 stroke oil industry. FD is the highest certification so anything with that rating should be a good

paid $45 for the gallon I bought of the 9000. The 7000 semi syn IMO runs even cleaner but people get hung up on the "tcw3". Yet Scott has ran the 7000 for the last 20 years in every 2 stroke engine he has. Swears by it. Place I got the 9000 for $45 had the 7000 for like $28 for a gallon.

I see Amazon has the 9000 for $56 shipped.

I think the 9000 would handle more heat better. So I guess my plan would be to run the 9000 in ported saws and 7000 in non ported saws. Or the 9000 in any application that really pushes the saw like long bar or milling.

I would choose the schaeffer over the amsoil saber. pics attached 15 tanks on new 661 with saber 32:1

It's an overpriced FB rated mineral oil. The best oil Stihl has is HP Super. It's FD rated. It used to be available in America but not anymore. I've used it in the past with no problems. It kept everything lubed and clean inside.41Prw6Hx4fL._AC_.jpg
