muff modded 661 - 7 tanks of schaeffers 32:1 (ran from day one only on schaeffers 32:1)

this stuff - yeah it says tcw but they also say it's good for saws. http://www.schaefferoil.com/supreme-7000-synthetic-2-cycle.html

Combustion chamber shouldn't be wet don't you think?
Ive seen topends carbon the piston and not the combustion chamber. Ive also seen clean topends and carbon/exhaust soot in the transfers. Unless the saw is taken apart nobody knows what the transfers or bottomend looks like unless folks have a camera like Brian! Lol!!

after testing the 12 or so oils I have for jug heat and cutting speed. Will be using 36" .404 RS new chains for each oil ratio. Basically my goal is to come away with like 4 top contenders. Then run each of those for 10 tanks and tear down the saw and see what the insides look like.

Oil has to be tested using many gallons and if it's still clean there's something wrong. There should be carbon and if there's not then it's not burning it.

Jason I agree 100%. Im seeing some oils combust and burn better than others and do it more quickly and efficiently. Klotz Super and R2 probably burn the best of any I have seen . Take for instance Klotz Super. They design the oil to burn completely and make the most power with the thought that folks will probably tear down their motors and clean them anyway? Look on Klotzs site and that imo is why they say for race purposes only

When they design race oils its for maximum protection in the most severe conditions and to burn and make the most power. These companies designed them knowing that people that race tear their motors down often?

Forgive me for asking this, but if you can get the oil to ignite completely in your mixture during combustion would it not give you more power at the crank? My thought is that oil in the mix would have more potential power per unit compared to a unit of gas in the mix.

More complete combustion = more heat. Heat produces energy which = more downward force on the piston. More power. Thats just the way im seeing it

I've had a bunch of saws apart probably over 1000 and there's always carbon.
