My saws looked nothin like that on 800, squeaky clean and wet. View attachment 14733

Obviously not fully combusting
With my finger saw it does that real wet and clean ,it does not fully combust and carbon the piston till high 15 k to low 16 k in the tune ,the fingers must wash stuff with extra fuel

Yea I have bridge ports in my 660. Might help wash everything clean.

I'll pop my 066 open tomorrow and see what's doin inside it.

It has had probably 8 or 10 gallons of super technoplate klotz at 40:1 through it since it's been together.

Any bets on what it looks like?
Completely black.

I do remember that pic on AS. You said it wasn't a hard carbon buildup but was soft and wiped clean easy. Later you told me 800 was probably overall the best oil to use for cleanliness and lubrication. And R50 was very dirty only after a tank or so.
I'd bet ANY 2-cycle oil at 32:1 would never cause an engine failure. I know a Logger using cheap 2-cycle oil mixed with cheap ethanol gas and getting 4 yrs. out of his pro saws. He uses a saw more in a week or two than you or me will use in a year.

Your right about both, little fat and a lot of oil. But this oil needs a very heavy load to get full combustion I think.

I don't mind running it like this, the saws run good on it and I know it's got good protection. I'm sure it leaves some power on the table though
That's the key. Just like Mike said. Not enough load unless milling.

You can't say an oil is clean burning if it don't burn. All will leave carbon it's just the load that really makes some burn completely and others make a gooey mess.

It did wipe fairly clean but thats what was left over in the picture and it was hard. Say or believe what u want im telling u 800t will build carbon . Ill say it probably builds the least of any oil Ive used but loaded like with milling or bigger firewood, tuned properly ,and the engine getting to temperature it will build carbon. The 3 oils ive seen that build faster than others are Klotz Super , R2, and HP2. I havent used an oil yet that didnt produce carbon

Some will never see that. If u r lookin for a perfectly clean topend I guess 800 is the way to go and just tune overly rich? Im not understanding where folks think an oil can burn off and not produce carbon?

I do remember saying 800t lubed the best in the bottomend . That was until I used Klotz Super. No comparison. The Klotz leaves far more in the bottom than any oil Ive used and burns off in the top like it should. It did build fairly quick and im not sure where it would stop just cutting cookies and firewood with prolonged use but Jasons pic. Will tell us what it will do tuned properly
