I believe straight 30 weight oil is what they used to use, but now that we have Ethanol ...

I used to add the cheap walmart TC3 stuff. But now I run biodiesel. Much better lubricant for the injectors. [emoji106]
I run diesel fuel additive in every tank of fuel since new...
Either Stanadyne, Power Service, or Howes etc..
You can skip all that added stuff with bio in your tank. Now it finally cooled off you can stop worrying about bio-growth in the tank and fuel system till springtime arrives.

I just switched back to the cheap Supertec tcw3 oil because it burns so good in my two-cycle motors like the weed whip, the leaf blower and my saws, all the saws. I am running VP full synthetic in my mix @25%. So far so good. The mix goes in the fuel can at the same time and run off with pump 89E10 or 90-91E10. The burn is clean and I feel that enough synthetic reaches the bearings to lube them well. The proof will be, did I stop the piston skirt wear? Time will tell when the jugs get pulled in the spring to measure the skirt wear. This will be my second year to test a custom mix of my choosing. Ymmv

I've never used VP race fuel don't know anything about it.
But I'm pretty sure I read somewhere within the last month they have had a civil lawsuit taken against them for fraud? there fuel containing nothing the label says it does same as octane being nothing like clamed. From memory the owner boss or ceo? thought there was big money to be made cutting corners leaving out all the good stuff that is expensive and selling cheap crap fuel for big profits.
And you guys in the USA know anything more on this ?
Yeah I'll Google it to confirm what the go is.

Hi - new poster here, thanks for the great oil thread, I thought I could resist posting. I like Lubegard hi ratio 2 cycle, at 20:1, or lubrication engineers monolec 8104. Lubegard seems to run smoother than any oil I've tried, ever. It's bright green mix color. Backpack blower at full throttle is so smooth it's like it's not running☺️

Seems that VP also filed a suit against the manufacturer of 100 octane Sunoco 260 GT for having sub octane levels. Octane wars going on out there. What are a few points of octane amongst friends?

PS. Not knowing about 2 cycle oils myself, I stick with mix oils designed specifically for chainsaws. Presently, Husqvarna XP+.
