Anyone tried the Raisman oil from HL? It says JASO rated. Havent clicked the pic to see if it says meets or is actually certified, or who is making it for them. Its only like $8 a liter for semi syn and $10 for full syn.

You can always check it on JASO website whether they have certified it themselves:

I just ordered some. I got the full synthetic. I needed to spend a few more bucks to get free shipping 100 dollars

I think it meets JASO. Not rated though.

I might have ordered both. I know I got a good bit of the Kawasaki they had but I bought the last of the 6.4 bottles they had.

Anyone use Citgo Sea and Snow? From what the site info sheet says, it is good for everything except outboards. Said to be real good for air cooled two strokes.

http://www.docs.citgo.com/msds_pi/C10008.pdf

Will be using up the last of the Motul 800 2T soon. Wanted to hear if anyone has used Sea and Snow in a saw.

And one more question, when they say may be mixed up to 50:1, that means 32:1, 40:1, and such numbers between 1:1 and 50:1; not 60:1 or 80:1 or thereabouts in the other direction, correct?

Right. You can make the oil mix richer than 50, but not leaner. There smart , don't want to warranty all the guys who like living on the edge at 60 and 80:1

Used a ton of it in sleds and water craft.
It will certainly work well in a saw, but Citgo sells a dedicated pre mix product called Citgo Aircooled. I'd stick with that in OPE.

They do make a dedicated air cooled oil, but like Ben said, the sea and snow works well. Has the fd rating right on the back of the jug. I bought a couple jugs at the local co-op for $22/gallon

Just the super is ethanol free. What I do not like is that there is not a separate pump. So all three grades come out of the same handle. Those that know more than I do you really think that it's possible to get a gallon or so from what ever was pumped previously? If so i'll just put 5 gallons in my car before I fill the can for the saws.

I guess it would be interesting to know how the inside of the pump works and how close to the pump it selects the gas desired to be pumped.

This is how the new Casey's Genral store is that we got in locally...all the different octane come out of the same handle so I will be pumping a few gallons in the truck before the mix can. I have not been able to run e free fuel around here since they started making the junk. Kinda excited about it actually.

What makes a saw run dirty emmissions wise isnt the oil. It's the over lap in transfer and exhasut port timing that causes high amounts of unburnt HC in the exhaust. IE it's the fuel passing through the engine unburnt in the scavenging process.

This is exactly why I plan to leave the cat in my 6421 and the chamber in my 7310. They seem to burn so much cleaner than my other saws and the fumes are minimal. I know the cat should come out of the 6400 but heck it will probably last me forever with it being in there. Time will tell I guess.

Your down a bunch of power too with the Cat I'm there

Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk

Ya know I removed the cat on my dolmar 6400 and didn't notice any difference in power. I like to open these mufflers up a seperate spot from factory outlet and leave the cat. It seems to me that I get no more fumes because the cat is still burning yet it does breathe better. Heck maybe it's all in my head...I am just a backyard woodchuck that feeds his stoves ya know...

Well if your opening a second hole it will breathe better but the cat will still probably burn most of the exhaust since that's the factory designed path

I open it in the front drivers corner so that it can get out soon and it still seems to burn alot cleaner then the older style muffler some times I will shut it off and it will make a small explosion with a flame coming out of the hole so it seems the cat is still doing its job even when the saw is off lol.

I cut the chamber out of my 7910 and it seemed that it lost a fair amount of torque when doing so so I will leave the chamber in on the 7310 and I am still up in the air on a 2nd port on it though. I've even thought about mounting a 6400 muffler on it with cat and extra port to see what that does....just thinking out loud now.
