What coil you running to get those RPMs?

I like to think I err on the rich side.
4 strokes readily but cleans up with some pressure in the cut.

660 coil. My thinking is the rich tuning wont burn all the mix and washes the top of the piston. Just my opinion that with the correct tuning and enough run time all oils will produce some buildup. The 800t did seem to be the cleanest of all the oils Ive used though but like Jason said its not my top priority to have a shiny piston top

Nope
Me either
Actually found the oil by accident.
Good friend of mine is/was a pro MotoX/SnoX rider and owns a speed shop.
I went in one day to grab some K2 and he says "you don't want that chit", "here", and hands me a bottle of 800 2T off road.
It was free so I took it.

Jeremy do u tune rich? My 461 with 800t carbon the top of the piston somewhat but I was tuned to 14600 to 14800 with a 28" bar .
Looking down at my tach in the cut yesterday i was hitting 14200 in the wood if held wide open ,16 inch rounds of alder ,chips were flying real nice lol.

That's alot of revs in wood.....:pesas: are you still running some of the saber? I know one thing you got lots of oil. I remember seeing cases of mx2t I was jealous like crazy. I went thru he'll to try a bit of it.

I have how gone through a gallon of the Quicksilver pwc full synthetic. It's fd rated, but not certified. At least I don't think it's certified. Most of it has been used milling with the 7900 at 32:1.
I bought this saw a year ago burned up. Replaced some parts on it and cleaned off the transfer. Gave it some mild porting, and it's been running great.
I talked to TM a couple days ago about having his way with it, and he said send it over. I'm kinda geeked about it. I'm curious about what Scott says about the inside of the cylinder and bottom end, as far as lubrication.
I'm onto the fd certified Citgo now

In my experience the severity of build up is caused by additives in pump gas or inferior fuels.
The nastiest saws I've seen were run by guys who apparently think fuel doesn't go "stale" or were ran on bulk fuel from a farm tank that was on the verge of turning to shellac.
The cleanest were those of mine or a buddies that were run on 100LL or VP.

Obviously some oils will deposit more than others, I can't argue that.

Word in the street is.....VP Race Fuels uses MOTUL for mix oil.

Best I remember you said 800 was the cleanest burning you've used so far??
And R50, 2R, and K2 wasn't very clean burning after only a tank or two??
Do u remember the pic. I posted of the 461 piston? Ive lost the pic since but the whole top was carbon almost but yes I still think 800t is the cleanest burning oil of all we have ran but I also think the clean top is from incomplete combustion and being tuned too rich. If u have complete combustion there will be a byproduct being carbons and some depoists will be left behind. Just my opinion

7 tooth ?
7 tooth .404 ,full skip square 32 inch bar ,chain has been sharpened twice ,untouched rakers ,i was getting about 1/2-3/4 inch sized chips green alder does not load the saw like fir does ,alder is considered a hardwood but it cuts easier than softwoods in my opinion .

i still have half a case of mx2t ,i bought a case of sabre to try out ,because i wanted to see if an oil designed for chainsaws worked any different than one for a bike ,plus i like it has dye to see the mix ,my mobil is gold so do not see it in the fuel so much .The matco tool guy that stops by the shop here stocks saber on the truck ,so once a week i can get delivered if need it which is handy .

I've been using 93 non-E, not 110 octane, so I'll see if the fuel makes a difference in buildup. Plus I'm not tuned as rich.

MOTUL 800 2T @ 32:1 with VP SEF

STIHL 044 10mm

Piston on right came out of "Christine" after approx 5-7 gallons of fuel.
Piston on left with approx 2 gallons through a different 10mm.

These are Meteor pistons. They were removed and replaced with OEM after I discovered the design flaw within the Meteors.

Why is there no carbon on top ? after 1 gallon of mix i show some carbon on my pistons .

Im about 100% sure if u tune 13800 to 14000 on your 660 and hang that 28" bar in wood buried for about 3 tanks some carbon will show up
