MOTUL 800 2T @ 32:1 with VP SEF

STIHL 044 10mm

Piston on right came out of "Christine" after approx 5-7 gallons of fuel.
Piston on left with approx 2 gallons through a different 10mm.

These are Meteor pistons. They were removed and replaced with OEM after I discovered the design flaw within the Meteors.

I used to run castor oil in every two stroke I owned except my sleds. It protects extremely well but didn't seem to be the cleanest out there for exhaust power valves in my bikes. It also doesn't stay in suspension much below freezing temps as far as I can remember. Smells fantastic though. Also blended very well in hotrod race fuels.

Ok.... I've been running some quicksilver at 45 1 no problems yet a guy gave it to me awhile back I've had no issues only 2 quarts of it before that I was using texaco for years it was brown orange a guy also gave me that it came in half gallon jugs I just grabbed a quart of Lucas blended anyone like it ? I got a deal on some husky two stroke oil so I guess that's what I'll be runnin for a while.... So I just got my first ported saw I'm going to assume I should just switch my other saws to 32 1 they're bone stock?

I run 32:1 for uniform measurement, the only time I have had oil run out of my saw mufflers is when I ran 800 on road at 32:1.

Usually you can tune32:1 to run clean, it's a debate on dirtbikes some guys will run40:1 when they see spooge but I have seen bikes with 50:1 spooge as well.

I ran a couple of tanks of GP7 in the new to me 661, and I must say there is barely any smell to this stuff lol, the saws seem to like it. There is some smoke upon startup but when running it seems clean even after idling for a bit

Those heated handle saws are indescribable, wish NY sold them regularly.

Would have to agree. Dies benol have any dye in it? I have only ran castor 927 and it doesn't have any dye. And it's about the same color as motor oil.

800 would make a mess on the 550 at 32:1. It wasn't burning it. The 395 and 390 on a mill would burn it.
I could picture that,

On a smaller saw like a 550 I could see some oils being excessive, on bigger saws like a 7900 even stock 32:1 is good general place to start with oil ratios in my opinion.
