Rotella is hard to beat I run it in 200plus horsepower agricultural cummins deere ih engines when we made the switch the cunsumption between changes went way down. Just thought I'd put that out there I can't remember what it was we ran before but it was the same weight

I've been around 40 year old trucks, new trucks, and everything in between all my life. We used Rotella t 15-40 and never lost an engine. It's dirty when you change it because of its detergents. I've seen several engines with gummed up rings that were burning oil, and after switching and running a few hundred hours on Rotella started cleaning up and oil consumption was cut way down

Stick with Motorcraft. The guy that built my motor is an Amsoil dealer and he still uses Motorcraft. Changed mine yesterday with 5,000 miles on it. Looked like car oil. The company truck gets Rotella and at 5,000 miles it looks horrible.

Just about all the HDMO are pretty good FWIW.

I, along with several other people got a few less than desirable UOA's using Rotella T. I switched to Mobil 1 Turbo Diesel 5W40 Synthetic and do much better with Mobil 1. Just stating my personal results with UOA testing to back it up.

For the Canucks on the site Petroleum Canada makes excellent diesel oils.
I always prefered Chevron Delo 1st, Mobil Delvac 2nd and Rotella third for 15/40 oils.
For 5w40 Delvac is really good as is Rotella.

I get it when it goes on sale. Not much more than the Rotella T semi synthetic. In fact, I get Mobil 1 Full Synthetic cheaper when on sale.
Just have to be a smart shopper.

You make many assumptions as persons with low cognitive ability often do. Most are untrue.
Expiereance is only worth while if you have knowledge of the subject at hand. Otherwise you keep doing the same stupid stuff in repeat.

What stupid stuff am I doing repetitively? I like to think that by putting countless hours on a saw on one oil and not having any issues speaks for itself.

As far as knowledge goes you can study the different oils based on ingredients all you want. What works is most important. Write down the pros and con's of each oil, find the best on paper... Fine with me. I will be burning saw gas making money and not have any oil related failure.

When your done writing down your figurings shove that paper up your ass.... That's what you talk from anyway. Experience... Make a mental note of how that word is spelled.

I dump 8 oz of purple oil in 2 gallons of gas. Or it could be red oil. Either works fine. Just don't ever use blue oil lol
