Orange bottle and black bottle low smoke was green. IIRC Ultra was green too.

Orange bottle changed about two years ago, it is blue now. It may not be "the best" but it certainly is far from the worst. You will not have a oil related failure from using it in any saw, period.

What color was the stihl oil??

The Stihl oil up in Canada is a nice dark blue .
I didn't know the US oil was different but our labels did say Stihl Canada on them so I knew ours was bottled for us by Castrol oil .

Likely made by Castrol now .
If you look for fine print it may say , I know ours did .

I'd use Stihl mineral spec oil well before some of the 'top shelf' oils like HR1, Ultra, Motul 800 etc. I have used the blue mineral oil not extensively but burned enough to know its not bad in my saws. Many saws have run for decades on Stihl spec mineral oil in hot Aussie conditions, its not my preference but I would use it if I had to without hesitation.

The logger hand me down saws i have torn down run on orange bottle ,the main bearings were coated in a black tar like stuff ,am sure it protects ok ,but looked like castor deposits almost.
I see the aftermath of that orange bottle and Ultra daily on equipment I work on. Ive posted pics and it isnt pretty sights

thanks to @junkman for sending the Dumonde.

Mixed up 2 gallons 91e free + Dumonde @ 32:1 in a New 661R. Ran it only with a 36" bar and .404 through out the 2 gallons. Shut down after last cut.

I swapped in a previously used Dual Port muffler rear half. But the front cover was new un dirtied heh. The red stuff is dirko sealant.

This is probably the most oil I've seen on an exhaust skirt. Piston top has an ultra thin layer of carbon on it. This stuff runs very clean. Saw felt great, while running it. Damn good oil, if you can get over how expensive it is! lol

also did a video

Your reading comprehension skills amongst other things are quite poor.
I don't think you have the technical expertise, nor the expiereance to judge the quality of an oil or anything else for that matter.

Your spelling skills are very poor. My experience with mix oil is a working experience. Not a take the jug off every tank and look at it experience.

I'm a newb, home-gamer.... dad has had his 034 for 30yrs running anything from Stihl (white or orangle bottles), Echo, to Arnold I think (something from the local Sears). 50:1 with 87 or 89 E10 (only E10 in CT). He doesn't cut that much, but enough to feed an insert to offset some of the heating bill.

Definitely not representative of every user, but for the average homeowner use (occasional storm cleanup, couple cords a year) the saw still rocks. I actually plan on "refreshing it up" for him. Mostly rubber bits and some consumables... we'll see how the piston/rings look.

Anyway, I've been burning Stihl ultra (extra warranty for trimmer & blower I bought) at ~45:1 for the first few 4-5 tanks in my saw. Stihl ultra is $13-16 locally for a 2.6oz 6pk. Echo blend 16oz is $9 at HD. I don't want to have various mixes, but want to protect the 4-mix engines from deposits.... I'm planning to try out Saber Pro, $13 currently (currently free shipping) for 32 oz. At 50:1, I think it should be sufficient for the blower, trimmer and saws.
