So Original would be your pick out of the Klotz lineup?

R50 at 32:1 still is excessive IMO lol.

Will mix up some original at 32:1 this weekend. Only ran it at 50:1 and it looked a tich dry....however Ben, residual is a heavily influenced factor from many things.

Ran Benol at 32:1 with the leaner coil on the 661 while running the maxflow and everything was decent looking. Castor does burn dirty I know but it is arguable that it does lubricate better than some synthetics.

There is a trade off with Benol and I understand this, I run synthetics this time of year due to weather lol

Will run original at 32:1 year round if I really like it.

Still will not be afraid of2r at 32:1 lol. K2 or Super M at that ratio have not cooked a saw yet either.

I broke in a 562 on2R and Super M. Saw never missed a beat or had any abnormal wear.

Sent from my non internal combustion device.
I don't know anything about OT as I have never used and and don't have the desire too.
People here say it's decent, but I take that with a huge grain of salt given they seem to cheerleader for one oil one weak and another the next. Never really running one particular oil long enough to tell squat.

Here is what i wanna see done to convince me of a good ratio.

Make three cuts in a 22 in inch log with moderate pressure at 6 second intervals on a 78 degree day in may on 47:1

Then after those cuts i want you to count to 12 grab your nuts and take 6 steps backwards then approach the saw right foot forward.

After that procedure i want you to count to 57 and start to take the saw apart and take pictures of the residual oil and report back.

Can someone do that for me please..then i will know if 47:1 is good for my chainsaw...thanks.
Anymore I would rather let the chainsaw wear itself out than tear one down.
After all saws are cheap, disposable equipment that is constantly being improved technology wise.

Correct.

I know you guys are into this stuff and i can appreciate it.. but...

So many things are gonna go wrong with a saw that actually gets worked long before oil is an issue.

Fun to read all this though..lol

I ran about a whole case of the stuff back before people got too carries away on the oil thing with having a super clean piston top. I started using it in 2009 or so after all the race saw guys were using it. The picture I posted of the piston last was benol and it was one tank and part of another one. A lot of soot for no more fuel than that on a new piston. Saw was only tuned to 13.4k at the time.

One of the reasons I use kl200 is that testimony u gave me. I disagree with Ben in that u have to wear a saw out to tell what an oil is doing. Sometimes a few tanks will indicate what that oil will produce in extended lengths. Heck I partially stuck a ring with Supertechniplate in less than 3 tanks in a 550xp

Cut4fun has used it for 10 years. If it was good enough for the hotsaws it's plenty good for firewood saws. Plus the tuning isn't weird.

Lol.

I only take saws apart when there is something wrong with them...but i could take pictures of saws ran on *s-wordty dino oil with 87oct gas with who knows how much ethanol mixed with sawdust/snow and elephant nuts in the tank along with a choked up muffler that barely breathes that have clear cut hundreds of acres of logs with little maintenance..if any at all ?

Does that count ?

Ill keep makin 40 because i dont have to use my ratio rite now with the bottles i have and id rather have more oil for the rare moments i need a big saw with a big bar for long cuts...but to say 50 doesnt work is impossible for me to believe , the abuse ive seen these tools take is unreal and they keep workin..let alone for a polisher who runs a retarded sharp chain with a spotless air filter and ethanol free gas along with a good muffler mod to get some heat out , a saw is gonna last a LONG time at 50 with a quality synthetic oil and a mindful operator.

Don't forget to check the thermocouple attached to the bar for temps in between cuts.

Here is Red Armor again since I tore this 064 hybrid back down to get the lightened piston out of my firewood saw before it blows up!! I lightened the piston from 96g to 80 and that may be ok but I dont trust it20161116_062555.jpg

Im gonna give your beloved red armor a spin when it gets here...what am i supposed to notice or look for over using saber ?
Nothing really. It keeps a engine clean and its RED!!!:D. I think for performance and timed cuts Id run kl200 but thats a guess and not tested. I like the OPE oil for everyday use and the corrosion protection
