Nothing really. It keeps a engine clean and its RED!!!:D. I think for performance and timed cuts Id run kl200 but thats a guess and not tested. I like the OPE oil for everyday use and the corrosion protection

And what would make your saw cut faster with that oil as opposed to red armor ?

Saber...because theres a track record of guys doin it.
I was anti Scamzoil for years because of the marketing they used ,thought it was bs 100 to 1 crap ,because bike oils should be better right ? Well after i tried it ,it was fine ,and the color was cool ,and the bottles have oz. marked off for no ratio rite .It is a little sooty in the muffler can is only drawback i can gripe about ,most likely because 40 to 1 nay be too much oil and some is getting unburnt making the soot .I may try 50 to 1 then 60 to 1 in one saw to experiment ,i bet 60 to 1 will be fine with saber .

The light has shined upon you fred.

I never bought into the 100:1 thing either..atleast not in a chainsaw.

A landscaper i know burns it at 80 and his trimmers still run..hocus pocus maybe ?

If I ran Amsoil which I have it would be at 40to1. Im not buying into the 100to1 ot 80to1 or even 60to1. Yall are welcome to run it at any of thoso ratios but Id keep a close eye on the cylinder

Why run any dirt bike oil in a chainsaw when there are oils made for saws ?
I started doing it years ago with 2R and MX2T so as not to have multiple cans of fuel lieing around. The above are also cheaper and sometimes significantly so vs oem chainsaw oils. They are also well suited to saws formulation wise.

From the images of crankshafts and pistons smothered in oil that have been posted ,seems like a lot of unburnt fuel going to waste not creating energy ,these engines run better not drowning in the stuff .The cleanliness is more from wash than a clean oil i bet .Excess oil should not be pooled up in the bottom of the crankcase .

I think it combust better evident of carbon on the crown imo but the red armor stays very clean but combust well enough and runs well enough that Im satisfied
If it doesn't combust well it will cause more deposits than an oil that does. When I saw some pics Corey? posted it led me to believe the stuff didn't burn to well, but I wasn't sure because poor tuning does that too.
Your comment confirms it.

Would you leave the fuel with those 2 mixes in your saw for 6 months and try to start it ?
