There's a few guys here running lucas without trouble but it's not for me.

Valvoline ain't bad but it's boat oil i recon
Ive ran plenty of Lucas in my yard equipment this year but I havent taken anything apart to see what it look like. Seemed no one felt it was necessary so Ill pass on wasting my time unless I have it apart. I will have the new 562xp apart here soon to do a few things in it as I ran 2 tanks of 87 efree and kl200 at 3.2oz/gal. To cut a Maple today and gonma put several more tanks through it on a large Redoak before disassembly

2 post down you said Lucas @ 32:1. Are you sure what your running anymore?:drink9:
No I honestly aint. Lol
I ran a half tank of lucas and used almost the whole quart of valvoline so i could have it backwards,I ran some royal purple too before I ran switched back to benol. I mix 2.5 gallons every other day and run different saws everyday so it's very possible I switched up what I ran.

I'm done switching oil now,I found nothing to make me change.

I ran the saw long enough to know I didn't like how it ran so I pulled it apart to change the port timing not to check on the oil.

I'm thinking it's the royal purple and/or the valvoline that turned the piston black like that so quick. They both lack the detergents that keep the upper cylinder clean

I know it was lucas because I dumped the rest of the gas out and gave the oil away.
I had just mixed it up

I havent ran it in my saw but only yard equipment. Ill show what kl200 looks like in my saws but I seriously doubt they get anything else

Ive never taken any saw apart for a customer that had years of runtime on them that didnt have a fully carboned piston crown
