What oil is best? and what ratio?

If you boys had to pick and oil/ratio for a tophandle that is shut off and on all the time and seldom has a good load on it other than chunkin down what would that unicorn concoction be ?

I would use chainsaw oil in that lil guy

This stuff has been actually working ok Ryan ,been at 40 to 1 even milling ,plug has a nice burn to it ,if you need me grab you a case off the tool truck let me know ,if you can not get locally ,somewhere around 50 clams a case i think ,the bottls are 8 oz so half a bottle in my 1.25 gallon no spill jill can makes mixing super easy

I prefer the Walmart stuff that can be had for $.50 a bottle.


That should work great in a top handle saw running WFO.

309 pages???...who knew mixing 2 stroke was so complicated. I've always just used the Echo mix and never had an issue. Should I try something different?...LOL.

Are you using the Echo red armor or the power blend stuff?

I just mix klotz and amsoil with maxima , yamaha , dumonde , motul 800 and belray for the new recipe

I had good luck with Dolmar synthetic it did not leave any oil out the exhaust of my 192 and starts good . I have been told it is the same as Bailey's Woodland synthetic.
The Echo red armor costs more and left a little oil out the exhaust.

Dude i would have no idea , the only oil i noticed was strange was belray and only because it tuned funny .. but after i tuned it it ran just the same as any other expensive oil in my eyes.

Ill give amsoil a go , i run 50:1 now.

Does your 192 get shut off constantly and never get hot ?

If it can handle milling at 40:1 im sure 50:1 is gravy in everything else ported or not.

The samples in have are the old recipe too. The new stuff has stabilizer.

I have heard of guys running 60 to 1 with the amsoil with no problems ,limbing i get a little spooge out the muffler at 40 to 1 ,milling and bucking the exhaust port is dry if this helps at all

What if its masterminded ?

The wood will run in fear and cut itself off once the engine is fired up .
