I have been taught less oil runs cooler actually ,one of my old atv engine builders told me to run gas over my finger ,then oil ,the gas was cooler than the oil ,not sure if he was full of bs or if it is right ,but is the way i was told .One of my friends that was sponsored by redline oils ran his cr125 supercross bike at 64 to 1 ,and never blew it up from the oil .
Sounds like BS to me.

661 32:1 amsoil saber -

28" bar - no spark screens in
then
28" bar - put the spark screens in
then
41" bar - spark screens still in

looks like things progressively heated up.
As one would expect.

more pics and here is a vid... don't really care for the discoloration on the front of the pistion skirt. I saw a little of that with Si-7. Didn't see it with honda hp2, mobil 1, or schaeffers.

Still like honda hp2, mobil 1, or schaeffers so far. Didn't care for dumonde seemed to run hot. But verdict is still out on them all until the oil test.
The autotune may not be adjusting for the dumonde ,i had to fatten my tune most with that oil ,it was the cleanest burn of any i have used ,at least in the ms440

if a strait gas engine uses a br5es plug and a 2 stroke mix engine uses a br8es which is a few ranges hotter ,wouldnt the strait gas be burning cooler ? or is that just a flashpoint ?
Heat range of the plug doesn't really mean much in regards to heat of combustion. Timing influences how hot the plug runs for instance.

pulled the muffler on the 562 being broke in with 2R and it was not that oily on the skirt like K2, I'm sure the bottom end is wet though.

There was a good residual on the skirt but compared to K2 it was easy to see.

The break in is going good, nothing but but clean piston bellow the ring.

Actually think it may be done.. about 10 tanks.... I was not easy to it lol

Evaporation cools. That's why gas at the same temp as oil feels cooler. It evaporates at ambient temp. Oil transfers heat very slowly. So I can see why one would say less oil runs cooler.
What happens in practice though, who knows...

That is a percent solution, not a percentage by volume of oil in the mix. But the numbers are very close at the ratios we are mixing.

For example: a 2:1 ratio is a 50% solution but actually 33% oil.
