Wow that's crazy. Probably not a huge demand for it now days since most everything has went the way of 4 cycle motors. I've noticed that even the local parts stores don't carry much at all for 2 cycle oil these days.

That'd be swell.
I can check with my Mobil bulk plant and see if they could get a few cases for me if you are having trouble finding the Mobil 2t in your area. Don't know how much shipping would be but I can check with the bulk plant if you want or need. @rjames

My take is mobil one is good oil ,but not the perfect oil .,has 2 flaws ,not blue ,no stabilizers .

Edit 3 flaws ,they quit making it 10 years ago ,so limited to low supplies hidden in warehouses is only oil left to buy .

This is the stuff I have, it's dyed red like klotz. Not sure about stabilizers. If it didn't have dye I probably wouldn't use it, I have advanced c.r.s. The print on top says "also protects snowmobiles and chainsaws".

Stuff i have is gold ,can not see it when mixed ,i had a couple saws gum up the carbs that were not used for a while also due to lack of fuel stabilizers in the oil ,a few other equipment i have the fuel turned murky looking when i dumped it ,is great oil if you use the fuel up right away my stuff ran great with it ,even the string trimmer which is sensitive to most dirt bike oils ,i really like the little to no odor from it ,that is important when milling or running an earth post hole driller also .mobil 1 2t 002.JPG

Is the Mobil 1 in the gray jug posted above discontinued?
Yessir. I believe the stuff in the black quart that I pictured is the replacement, but not 100 percent on that. So far, it's been great.

Redbull did some nice testing on it, and that's who I got it from.

Same that's who I purchased my two quarts of oil from.

Ran two tanks of Mobil 2t at 32:1 through my stihl trimmer tonight. First time EVER that my old lady didn't say "you stink" when I came home. Trimmer ran jim dandy.
That stuff is best two cycle oil I ever laid hands on. Sadly it's no longer available.

I believe I found the reason that the Supertechniplate I mixed up seperared. Water in the fuel.
When I inspected the jug after siphoning most of the fuel out I discovered a bunch of water. I am thinking the castor portion of superechniplate latched onto the water and seperated. Castor is attracted to water so it makes sense.

started running amsoil saber 32:1 on a new 661. We'll see what it looks like after a few gallons or so.

and got some more oil to test! Still can't find any original techniplate in a quart.
