Some folks think a given chainsaw manufacturer's brand oil and mix ratio just has to be the best because they are the ones that researched and developed the chainsaw!

Not me. Not when you factor in the EPA, planned obsolecense, quarterly profit goals and the like.

Been riding Harleys for years, Harley lubricants are not even on my radar,

I will trust the folks here that really run saws hard, break them down and look.

Have you tried 800 at their recommended ratios? 50-64:1?

I started at 45:1 then went to 32:1 after it was ported. Last several gallons were 24:1. I can definitely tell the engine and bar gets hotter cutting stumps compared to felling and bucking trees.

I sure never seen so many opinions from people reading data or have never taken a saw apart or havent taken the time to take a saw apart to test or see what different oils are really doing? I guess if one wants to believe all thats published without first hand knowledge thats fine but I have seen and know better. Some oils migrate better, combust better, and lubricate for less wear better. Its that simple
All the pics of different oils at 32:1 looked like plenty of oil in the lower end....even the oil thread on AS. The question you have to ask is "How much oil is needed in the lower end for reliability"? All the lower end pics of K2, 2R, 800, and Klotz I've seen were saturated with oil.

Any looking inside before it was sent off?
A few times after I put on a DP muffler cover. That's been over three years ago. I didn't notice much difference in appearance between the two best I remember. I probably could get by using less oil when only cutting firewood.

You guys realize 32 to 1 is leaner than 40 or 50 to 1 right ? So more oil could be hurting things on the top end. Gas is cooler than oil if you run it over your finger so the saw piston will run cooler at 50 to 1 than 32 to 1 . Yes your bearings are happy at 32 to 1 ,but is your piston ??
