Dad bought my 034 in the 80's new and it rarely gets ran and has only ever had cheap pump gas in it,I've never rebuilt the carb or replaced any rubber and it still runs great and holds a tune.

The fuel has changed but not as much as the parts have. If we had carb kits from the 80's we would have less trouble.

That said I rarely ever rebuild a carb, diaghram gets stiff but that's all I find.

Electrode, strap, porcelain, etc are pretty good if you ask me, plus I see the piston crown.
Y'all might re-think whats been thunk after you see what this here crown looks like
25:1 with VP 94 and 50/50 mix of 800 and R50 tuned to 13,750

From the pics i see too much oil residue on the porcelin and electrode and ground ,i like my tune the ground almost all clean and dry also some ash deposits from the oil,i think it is from the 800 not fully burning ,but it could be something else also .
look at the difference in porcelin color and electrode tip ,and the ground .hybrid saber clean plug 003.JPG

Jason I still believe quality of fuel makes a difference as far as the carbon on top of the piston if that is what bothers some . I believe Mopar when he says no wash marks with pump gas and wash marks with VP 94? Fuel has to be doin something?

I just buy new pistons after each tank so my saws stays fresh..its the latest trend in ported saw polishing.

Remember when your ported saw was gonna blow up if you didnt use H1R at 32:1..lol..suckers are born every minute.

I couldn't imagine tearing my saws down after every tank to see if the oil did its job. The cylinder bolts are gonna wear out before anything else does.
Its a hobby for me and I enjoy tearing mine down. Interested in the oils and what different ones do in the saw so its really not like I need to but I enjoy it. Wont be many more torn down to check oils because Ive found what does the best job. Kl200. Theres a reason all the race guys use it and Ive seen the difference with my own eyes and I have used the majority of the oils we talk about. Klotz is a stand out

Some people will never understand it as they only have an agenda here to prove themselves right and not actually testing oils and giving actual honest opinions from direct observations and actually wanting to conclude which oil actually is better than another? Im one that believes not all oils r good enough or equal
Debating oil is like debating religion. You'll never get everyone to agree and there's no correct answer.

Even VP fuel leaves some carbon. 110 won't hardly burn so it's not going to leave much.
My saw using 110 and 93 on the dyno was almost identical. 93 was higher in some areas so was 110. The 110 had 800 in it. I'm not sure what type of oil Chad used in the 93. I'm fairly certain it wasn't 800. I could be wrong.

I'd like to test fuels on a dyno and in a log with a removable head saw and change compression and test 87 and race fuel.
