What oil is best? and what ratio?

Ben said it will if left stored too long. I doubt u do because it would be one noisy son of a gun. Ive changed quite a few bottomend bearings rusted to heck and back

My neighbors hear mine often. Mostly the 660 but the 372 will make you smile too.

There is something about the sound of thoso 372s isnt it?? They do sound like a piped CR80

Zinc combined with moisture and oxygen wouldnt know the difference between a crankshaft and a cam I wouldnt think?

So then what's it's purpose in an oil? Lubricant? Solvent? Anode?

I've never pulled the muffler on that one.....I don't think. That 800 has probably washed it clean.

There also to soft,same as a 390.
I like a solid feeling saw.

Jason I did a bg85 blower rebuild that was ran on Stihl Ultra the other day and the rings were almost siezed. I ground about a 1/16 of carbon out of the exhaust. It was pretty bad

Sounds similar to my CR-80 when I was a kid. I like it. The 660 has a deeper tone. When I crank my 660 my hunting buddies usually back up. They say "that thing sounds mean".

Maybe clean will last longer. My custom rifle barrels last longer clean. As long it fills my truck bed with wood I'm happy.
