I should wear a mask but I usually don't. Usually the breeze is taking the dust away from the operator's position and we're gonna put up a big azz fan once we get the shed completed. We have a roof over it at least and siding started on the sugar shack end. Unfortunately I don't get as much mill time as I would like. Retirement is looming soon and I'm hoping to get more saw and mill time in...
I did end up with a lung fungus caused by sawdust many years ago. That was a scare... Chest x-ray just saw it as lumps. I was pretty bummed for a couple weeks till other scans ruled out the C thing... I had never heard of a lung fungus before that. I had a dump truck back then and a local lady would have me deliver sawdust to her show arena and stables from a local woodworking shop (a big shop). Sometimes a couple loads a week. Once the doc figured out what was going on, I never hauled that anymore. Poor horses...
