Kinda depends on how much you want to spend and if you want heated handles. Bang for buck, it's gonna be hard to beat the echo 590. Heated handles pretty much forces a guy into a 562, and compared to a 362 or 400, they're reasonably priced. Hottest one out there is probably the 400, but they're spendy and no option for heat in the US.
I am not sure what makes you think that. Husky says the 562 is 59.8cc and Stihl lists the 362 at 59cc. I am not sure 0.8cc difference is much and both can be purchased with heated handles. The Stihl 400 is listed at 66.8 cc and also can be ordered with heated handles but grab your wallet.

Most of the well known brands like stihl, huskie, echo and shindaiwa seem to
give a good run as far as I know but it is a bit like buying cars if you have
had Dords and had a good run you will buy another but if you end up
with a bad one you will try something else.
What I have seen of some of the chinese saws I would be a bit carefull.
Not to sure what the latest mods are like but some of the earlier one I
found didn't rev high enough so were to slow on chain speed. I weekened
and brought a Certa 88cc and this was the problem with it and also very bulk
and heavy. Stick with one of the well known breesa and you can't go wrong.
I am old school and stick with the old girls, nothing in my stable over year
2000 and way I have them tuned they may not keep up with the new
ones but what the hell still have a trailer full of firewood at the end of
the day and they are a way lot better than some of these new computer
wised things to work on.

I've got 3 years clear cutting, firewoodin, and beetle-killed spruce thinning on a 620pw. December of 2021, I paid $592 shipped to Alaska with a 28" bar, 2 chains + shipping.

I've run from 30 below zero to 80 degrees. Saw has bounced around in tote sleds, river boats, dog sleds and the work truck.

Saw has been run on Red Armor, stihl hp ultra, lucas and saber. 50:1, 40:1, 32:1.
I've run 20", 24" and 28" bars and oils all just fine.

No hot start issues, or crank bearing issues. Echo replaced a broken chain break 2 years in. Sent if free of charge. Over 3 years later, still has 160lbs of compression.

This model has been plodding along for years. It'd be foolish not to mention it, in any context of a "60 cc thread".

Don't worry, there's a fellow that will come along shortly and tell you that that's really not a good saw, and that you wasted your money. ;) :D

I went through the exact same thing with my ms400, bought it, hated it. Ran it to get my moneys worth out of it and it’s really grown on me.
Fantastic 20” bar firewood saw.

Husqvarna has the 555, 565 and 365 X-torque saws, not just the 562xp.
If you're throwing 590's about, then there's the MS 311, MS 391 and 460 Rancher to throw in for discussion.
My pick for a firewood saw would most likely go to the 555, 562XPG, MS 362 or MS 362 C-M
Stumpy, while most of the saws you mentioned are just fine the only ones in the race for best is the 562 and 400.

I guess I'm not sure what you're getting at here Bill. I said the 590 is a great value. I said the 400 is hot. Didn't mention CCs at all. I guess I figure most guys aren't gonna import a saw, but you're right, I didn't mention that as an option. I did look at the OP's location to see if he was in Canada because then I wouldn't have used the availability of heated handles as a selling point for the 562.

If the OP was looking for best in class probably so, however, here is the question that was asked...
"What current 60cc class saw is the one to get? I have not paid any attention to saws for several years and not sure what is even out now. Would be interested in light weight and reliability/durability."
My post stands.
