Hi all, I plan to be trying to find a used 372xp . I'd like to know what do you all consider to be a good price for one. Also please help me out with ideas on how to check over saw in person to check its condition. One last question is it really worth the performance difference to find a used 372xp original vs buying the current xtorq version? Like how big of a difference is there. Thank you so much for any help you can provide love the forum!

All depends on condition for used.
Robin still has them, NIB if you want one.
Paveen (Robin) is a great source, I have bought from him and I will again but current peeing contests are making it tough. I believe Bruce might still have new 372's.

Ok thank you, does anyone have any opinions about original vs xtorq? If I do find one in person I know to check compression but that's about it except for obvious cracks and stuff. Not sure who Bruce is or how to find him

I don’t have much experience with the 372 OE but have much more with X-torq. They run very well but are devastatingly hard on the crankcase bearing pockets because the piston is so much heavier than what the crankcase was originally designed for. Of course this is only a fairly high hour failure but if you’re looking for used you’d better check for sideways crankshaft play on the clutch side.
