Family friend bought a dairy farm that was equipped with all very nice John Deere’s: three 4020’s, a 4430, and a 4440 with duals. Them 4020’s were great tractors.

I never ran one, I was pretty young. Just remember how much I liked the look of them and how they sounded. They used them for everything.

My 301 has a similar, albeit smaller hood. Really like the look

Ready to skid some logs. Got a couple out yesterday, the pulling and lifting power this tractor has is gonna give me smile cramps in muh face. Lol!

While not a shuttle shift like forwards/reverse I love the old Oliver's that had the Hydra shift, over/direct/under. Three ranges on the fly!

I agree, I love my 1855 Oliver with the over/under.

It has the 1955 Waukesha 310 with the oil cooler on the block to cool the oil for the turbo. ( late model ) earlier model 1855's did not have the coolers and had some problems with the turbos. Used to run a 1755 naturally aspirated with the same engine with the 2 speed hydro power, really liked that tractor also. We ran duals on both of them back in the day, 70's and 80's. The good ole days!

My Dads had the over/under/direct. He also had a 1600 gasser. The 1650 diesel was his baby though. Great line of tractors. Got any pics?

Will get some soon, going to be changing some oil filters in the near future I hope.

Got to try out my new lights tonight when I drove up to clear my brothers driveway. They work great! The pic doesn’t do justice to the light they put out. I still gotta adjust them a bit.

We have a 3020 with the synchro on the dash at work. I’m the only one that could run it because I knew where the gears were. We finally bought a new shift pattern decal. Dad had a power shift 4020 and 3020. Good tractors until the power shift pack goes!

Not very good pictures, Will do better when do the oil, Going to crank it up in a couple weeks, and get it to the shop for oil change, and all filters, it takes 7 filters total!
