Already have a fallen soldier. I put it on and it went snap instantly :(

I went in fine like a normal cap but when I turned it to close it it exploded.

I will contact him through evilbay. I have had other good dealings with him.

Sweet!!!! Now you have a free Canadian cock ring:)
That sucks man, let me know your eBay I'd so I can get you some free stuff and absolutely thanks for the picture.

Before I bought this batch I only owned 8 of these and they were all pre-tested because they all came installed on crank cases.
if anybody else has problems be sure to let me know
Dave

canadian cock rings are that big?i thought arctic climates required smaller hardware due to interference fits and stuff and stuff.

My caps arrived today. I installed them on my 441 and played with them a bit. They are a little tight to fasten, but seem well made and don't leak. If they hold up I'll definitely buy a few more sets. Much better than the flippies.

I noticed this and a few guys mentioned it to me as well.
On the MS440 the small alignment tab on the edge of the non-flippy rubs hard against the edge of the recoil housing.
It isn't enough to bother me, but I did contemplate giving the nib a little filing, but decided to go piss-reving instead.

Now let's discuss those despised outboard clutches. I also hate those...

Outboard clutches definitely suck. I do not understand nor have I observed the better balance thing on the several outboard saws that I have had. Nor do I understand the 'better' balance thing using short blades. Er, I mean bars... And flippies suck. You think they are in tight... and then they gush oil or gas all over. The old screw-in ones are much better on my older Stihl saws. Have not tried these flippey replacement twist-in caps yet. I should order up a pair I guess.

Inboard clutches rule!
Long bars rule!
Screw in caps rule!

I always liked to be in a long screw.
