Oh? I see how it is. I graciously store your old red Solo for you, and this is the thanks I get?

No respect these days.......none at all. :(

WTF are you talkin' about. That sum *b-word was like new when you got it. You probably took it to a GTG and now I'm getting back some clapped out POS. Just don't forget to put the big dawgs, a .325 chain and the 14 pin rim on it when you turn it into a Piltz Hotsaw ya' shade tree hack.

If you posted in this thread before THIS POST - AND live in the USA and want a pair of free Twiply caps, just PM me your complete shipping address and I will get them out to you "soonish" by Tuesday at the latest.
More details and pis in new thread.
These are the larger style cap so will NOT work for the pole saws guys, but the LCS caps sound like they will.

... My worst experience with the flippies was on a backpack blower. Filled it up and made it about 100 feet before it shut off out of fuel lol. Didn't get too much on me but it all went on the grass... at least I wasn't one of the guys that had it happen while blowing the putting greens :eeek::eeek:

I actually paid for set before checking this thread. My Johnson Rod approves either way. Thanks for the opportunity Dave.

Subscribed.

Back a few years ago, I suggested an adaptor that permanently screwed in place/was epoxied in place, that just had regular threads for the conventional caps. These appear to take the engineering up another level. Hope that versions for the MS260 etc. also become available.

Normally I'm ok with my 261 but it has pissed on me 4-6 times. The worst one I was cleaning up a tree that fell down while burning pasture. The tree fell blocking an escape path. I walked away from the Gator carrying it and by the time I went to cut I had a trail of fire following me. 100ll burns VERY well. I got out w/o getting hurt or burning equipment but it could have been worse. I was pissed to say the least. As soon as I can I intend to replace them with something better. That's not accounting for the WELL oiled chaps, jeans, tailgates, etc. It doesn't happen often but it happens, normally when we're in a hurry and not being careful with the install.

I've never really had much trouble with them on saws. I've seen several get out of "time" on trimmers. I just never understood why they had to "fix" a nonexistent problem with these caps.
