I have a few of the Remington electric chainsaw / pole saw things. One, I bought on purpose. A few others were just very cheap at garage sales.

One, I think, was free, partially, because it was missing the bar oil cap.

Anyway, some replacement caps showed up in the mail today, which made it a working saw, along with a few extras, which are good to have.

Then, I was cleaning up dinner and it struck me:

It had been in my refrigerator the whole time. Anyway, posting, so that, maybe, I’ll remember in the future, or, ‘in case you may know of someone a similar situation. . .

1" pipe plugs if I remember correctly.
It ends up being 3/4" for what I have, I appreciate the tip, I never would have thought to try pipe thread. I guess if needed I can always use a short galvanized nipple and cap - I would rather use plastic so I don't screw up the threads on the tank.
