Thank you that was my goal. A work saw. If not most likely I would have took some off the dome of the piston in the same arc. Just thinned it some to allow for a lighter piston. And if i were keeping it I may try to move the ring ends. But I just don't trust it.Carl,
I love how you made it custom, but easily serviceable in the future.
I may take ya up on that. Thank you.Mike Lee told me a safer way to move them, at least the top one.
Drill hole through crown the pin the top ring. Insert pin. Lose the bottom ring.
If you wanna try that, send me the piston when its done and ill tig 4340 over the pin hole you make in the crown. Ill sand it down and the pin will be trapped between the dome and the ring gap.

I respect showing your fails. And here's the solmar. I wanted to wait till I tried the exhaust mod on this saw. But this cylinder is a fail. I have killed the saw. I will most likely go home and raise the crap out of this exhaust and see if I can salvage a cant saw from it but I've lost my torque. Not what I wanted to do. Yes I show my fails as well.
By the ring 105/125m-129sWhat were your final numbers Carl?
If you eyeball the exhaust about 103.5What were your final numbers Carl?
Damn,By the ring 105/125m-129s
By sight 78 intake.
