The whole inside of the piston is on a dome. But would that work very well with the combustion chamber off to one side? All possibilities we'll see how she turns out. Lol.You could always cut the edges of the piston flat to match the squish band, and leave a dome in the center to keep it thick enough.
I am for now. Got a couple 272xp coils laying here if need be. On the 7900 series. I dislike the 12800 coil as it's to hard to tune the saw. But the 13500 is just enough more rpm it allows for you to tune it better. And I've put a 13500 on this saw for now.You gunna leave the limited coil in it carl?
I was gunna ask about the muffler too...Here's the hair cut I was talking about. Shortened the fins up some so the top cover would go on better. The muffler is actually proving to be more of a pain. Lol. View attachment 41702
Tapered the squishOk guys. Ya can't have Christmas without some suspense. I did run the saw today. And brought it home and changed it. I will slip it back together tomorrow and take a vid.
So look at the pic and see if ya can guess the 2 things I changed! I apologize it's hard to tell. The pic is kinda crappy.
@Mastermind
No 6400. I'll snap a quick pic. Being raised up it hits the cover. Lol.I was gunna ask about the muffler too...
Is it a 665 muffler?
Nothing to do with the squish band.Tapered the squish
Nothingvtobdonwith the squish band.
lol. I had already did that.I'm thinking Deets nailed it. You cut the squish to match the piston. And....you raised the hell out of the exhaust.
Just the angle of the pic. Seriously didn't touch the squish band. Lol. That is past what I already had.Looked more tapered to me but I guess not
