Now for porting. I'd like to say based off what I know of the 7900 but that's not true I just pulled a starting point out of my butt. Lol. If that dosnt work. Well we will try another cylinder I got spares here I layer out the gasket to gasket match. And I marked the cylinder walls were I'm going to cut out to open up these lower transfers and the tunnels will get a little work while I'm here. IMG_0422.JPGIMG_0421.JPG

Wow Carl, you've got a lot done!

Looking good so far! This is a truly custom saw!
I didn't want ordinary for this build. I just hope it's a good runner when done. It didn't run to awful shabby stockish. Not being able to widen the exhaust worries me a little but we will see.

Now for my numbers well we will see if they work. For the numbers I'm gonna give the intake is based off looking where it closes. But the trans and exhaust ibset with a ring. But remember it has a dome piston in it so the heights will actually be a bit higher than the number I give.

I could not widen the exhaust do to the ring ends being so close. But here's my exhaust at 105. Notice my little whoops below the exhaust. I really hate when I do stupid stunts like that. Luckily it will not affect anything. As I just nicked the nickasil and it's way below the rings. IMG_0425.JPG

Great work Carl. Fascinating stuff.

Domed Pistons are a place where the Torquesoft measurement vs. Degree software may come in handy. It actually works.

Carl, where does the piston crown end at BDC at the exhaust port floor? Looks like you've got a mile of skirt left at TDC. Just wondering if this a design where you could drop the floor for more time/area being you cannot widen.

Your work looks great, as usual.

At bdc the piston just barley sticks up above the floor. I will try and take a pic when I reassemble. And at TDC I don't hav as much now because I lathed off 2mm of that but there's still plenty. Lol
