I got to run the saw a wee while ago. Night and Day difference, no popcorn and noticibly more power! It actually scares me a little bit now this saw. Its a monster....
Unfortunately Vimeo tells me I have exceeded my weekly limit on data storage so until I resolve that I can't upload a video

the redlight thing may be nostalgia but on a ported saw its pretty much junk

And here it goes, same tune. Checked just before the cut and it was pulling 14,000. Maybe a little lean...

Could try that .030” filed key installed backwards (-8* of advance) and see what shakes.

That would be interesting...BTW when I put the new coil on the saw the first thing I noticed was that the idle rpm went up 500 or so...same tune same settings. Now I wonder why?

I thought maybe timing curve was just different. Maybe it doesn’t go full retard

Maybe igniting too early and creating forces before it was time?

Amazing difference in the whole attitude of the saw though, you can hear how she spins up and how responsive it is in the vid.

Other thing I notice...is how much fuel this thing uses

you cant worry about gas mileage
my 026 goes through a tank in about 5 minutes

Probably because they are like the old 046 they have the best stock port numbers compare and old flat top red light to a 660 night and day difference the 660 is a slug
