Ok, full disclosure, the Echo was ported, owned, and ran by Mitch Webar.

But it is surprising to me that a 73.5cc Echo beat Stihl's most amazing saw ever built with just a woods port. The Stihl is 79.2cc, fuel injected, and about twice the price.

The Echo not only beat the 500i, it handed the 500i its ass...beating it by a full 16 seconds in this long cut:

How is this saw priced in the USA? I can get one for 1050-1100€.

Today, I bought a new 572xp with a "20 bar and 4 chain loops (c85). €980 delivered to the my door.

Even a 462 is cheaper than the Echo, here...

To give you an idea how much prices vary around the world in NZ the CS-7310 costs $1,919NZD ($1360USD) - I only paid another $56US for my 500i with a 20 inch ES Light. The 572 Retails for $2289NZD which is approx $1622USD. Mind you the NZD has gained considerably in value compared to the USD in the last couple of months.

Watch the video in the first post. And the pro Echo comments that follow. The best is the Echo got thru the log a full 16 seconds before the 500i. FWIW, I’ve got an Echo that just MIGHT stomp the 500i. But it’s 116cc’s.
