Thanks for the info guys, 7-10 looks like the right power head. Will dismantle it more to measure the bore diameter to confirm.

The cylinder shaped air filter in the cap cover part was full of concrete dust, the felt filter above carb was dirty but mostly just oily inside the airbox around the carb... ain't the best operating conditions for the engine cutting concrete.

Not much compression when I pull on the starter so will start looking for a cylinder and piston kit for it, new fuel line and carb kit.

A bit envious of the cheap project saws and parts you guy's in the states have access to, I can't even import a MAC 15 off ebay cause it hasn't got a chain brake (stupid NZ government consumer law) and the 346xp parts saw I purchased off ebay got seized and destroyed by UK customs for being a "prohibited dangerous item" when the package was processed to leave England.

Do find the odd mac 10-10, mini mac and 600 650 700 750's here tho, hunting a Pro Mac 850 but chances are slim to find a runner.

From what I gather England is a nanny state .Evidently they have laws prohibiting everything .I don't know how NZ is but in the past I've shipped a number of stuff to Mc Bob in Oz and never had a problem .Always listed them as a gift .From Ohio to the west coast or Florida the US mail takes 3 days .Oz by air mail is 4 days .To Ontario Canada ,200 miles away it might take two weeks ,Canadian customs red tape .

Given the intense bio security that New Zealand has in place, is it not more likely that UK customs were acting on behalf of New Zealand customs? In the not too distant future there will be issues around sending used ag and forestry items that have not been sterilised..... If your parts saw hadn't been properly drained of fluids and vented or if it was plastered in bar oil and saw dust, do you really think it would get through to NZ? Ive read enough about problems arising from courier companies and oily saws nevermind air carriers...

Just to get back on track, nice to see these cut off saws appearing. I had thought none reached the UK and Ireland but I recently saw the remains of one.

This pandemic has thrown a wrench in the gears for sure .I get generic prescriptions from Canada for a fraction of the cost .They are direct shipped from a number of countries and often pass through Sweden or Switzerland and take a month to get here .Prior to this it was about 10 days .The way it's set up a soon as I get the order I can order another so I'm always ahead of the game .
Now then on other things I order a lot of stuff through E-bay because it's sometimes the only place you can find them .It's not always just chainsaw parts because I have my fingers in a lot of pies .So far the shipping has been very good and I have no complaints .

The block in the last pic is a sp125 block not a kart block, more pics would be needed to help in other ways. A magnet will tell you if it’s bore able.
It's another chrome bore 125
The kart block has water damage from sitting without a lid on the carb.

Take a pic of the saw with the muffler off, can help you more out on what block is in the saw with that.

Terry Ives is your best bet for boring and pistons

This Mac 130 has points.
Is that correct?
Serial # has an 11 prefix.
At any rate, do they set on .019" like the 10 series?

Yes on the point gap Dream.

Looks like someone climbed the oak and cut that piece of top out. I still wish I could have been there to see it happen.

A quick crane pick, maybe? Fly one guy up to set a sling and another climbs up to trip the top at the break. A 20 minute job if even a smaller crane truck was able to get close enough to it..., or maybe just to act as a spar if nothing else.

Thanks Mark. Only reason I asked is Acres site has them listed as solid state only.

Would hope they picked that top. Maybe zip lined it down in pieces?

I think they just let it drop, the wires were already on the ground. There is really no way to get a crane anywhere near the back yard at this place. The pieces of fence were already on the ground from the storm.

Mac 130 is together. Still need a chain. I dont have one for the 14" bar it came with. Stuck the 16" bar and chain off the Mac110 on it to test. Got spark and cleaned the carb. Maybe tomorrow I can get some noise out of it.
Looks really nice. Hope it runs as well. Cant believe the way they blocked the filler caps with the chain brake flag. Thats annoying.

I did some work on one of those .If memory serves it was a lot more user friendly for access of parts than the 110-120 models .

Easy to put together. Pretty similar to my 110 if I remember right.
I gassed it up this afternoon.
It fired up after a dozen or so pulls to get it primed. Tuned the carb. Seemed to be running about right. Put it in some wood. Just died as I was getting through the first cut. Seems to be flooding. Has spark.

Might try a plug first. It had a brand new Crappion in the box. Ive had those go bad.
If thats not it, I'll be ordering a couple of MDC carb kits. I used a couple of used diaphragms I had lying around. Just funny that it tuned out and ran good initially. Fuel line was clear. I blew everything out. Maybe it sucked a piece of trash into the inlet and stuck the needle open. Not sure. All I know is I've NEVER put one of these or a Homelite unitized saw together and not had to disassemble AT LEAST once.

Pretty good, people are operating as normal mostly.
No hurricanes would be nice this year.

A package came for me with a score I have mentioned briefly in a comment. I am very happy with its condition, and the Tillotson that has been fitted to it. Is a 1-70 bored .020 over if I am reading this correctly.

This maybe sacreligious on a McCulloch thread. I have a mini power Mac 6 and I am wondering if I can upgrade the sprocket to run a 3/8” chain? The saw is from the 60’s but it runs great and I like using it for limbing trees. I would rather run 3/8 chain then the 1/4” it comes with. Thoughts? I am no expert on this stuff looking to gleam some wisdom!
