Now here's a tale you've probably never heard before. Most folks buy their saws at a flea market, craig's list,FB marketplace,or somewhere similar.I just bought an Eager Beaver 2014 at the barbershop when I got my hair cut the other day.A fella the barber knows had the saw & asked him if he knew anyone who wanted it.The barber knew that I worked on older saws & I'd show him some pics of my latest work.So he kept the saw in his back room till I came in.I paid $15 for it not knowing anything about it.I checked the saw out the next day & fueled it up & got nothing.I primed the cartb & it fired, but that was it.That was just to check to see if it had spark.Today I pulled the cover off the carb & found why it wouldn't run.Whoever had been into the saw wasn't too bright. There was no fuel line coming from the tank to the primer bulb.Instead, the return line from the carb was attached to the primer bulb & another line from the bulb to the inlet on the carb. They had the line basically going in a circle with no incoming fuel.I just laughed when I saw that.I did find a section of old line in the tank with the fuel filter attached to it.Pretty funny actually.I did have a similar situation, but with a kill switch wire on a Pioneer Farmsaw about 6 yrs.ago.People do the strangest things,Lol.
