probably a replacement starter ? Does that have a Tillotson carb? My 7-10 was earlier than yours and it had a Tillotson HS on it. Ran amazing too! Have you slayed any trees with it yet?

It might be a possibility it has a 700 cover on it . I had to refer to Chainsaw Collectors to see a picture of a 7-10 I once owned .
Id bet thats the case.
I ran a 700 recoil and cover on mine for awhile until I got time to fix the original one.
They all interchange.

A friend found an old MAC Kart and restored it. He put two 101's on it but one kept destroying clutches so he took it off.
He has a cop friend with a radar gun clock him on a country road. 97 MPH..... on a gravel road.

He has the kart hanging high on his shop wall so his boys can't get at it.

Did all Mac 10-10 come with the plate that goes on either side of the chain bar at the oiler? I got a older model 10-10 that has none.

I've seen them with none, some with one, some with two. They will work and oil with none but it will leak oil around the bar depending on the bar style. If you only have one run it on the inside of the bar against the tank for best oiling and protection of the tank.

FWIW on those oil dribblers you can make a kind of a gasket from an aluminum beverage can to stop a lot of it .The bar design seems to have a lot of it depending on who made it .

Thats a good "hack" Al.
Not thought of much these days.
Folks go to Google now quicker than the "scrap pile".
Lot left unsaid about what people did and thought of thats lost now.
Thanks for sharing.
