Easy fix Clint, a couple seals and your off to the races!
Spark sounded weird to me in the video too, coil gap/ plug?
The ignition is electronic. I'll put a new plug in when I get to it. I already have the seals and make my own gaskets.
My problem is, I have about 6 saws apart now. So it will have to wait it's turn.

What is the fuel line size in these old macs, is it 1/4 inch. Do you folks still run 20:1 even with modern oils?
It depends on which model.
As for the mix ratio. It's a big opinion subject. Ask 10 and get 10 different answers.
Myself, I run 45:1 Opti 2 in everything. Old Homelite's, old Mac's, Stihl's, Huskies, etc.

6-10A, either a 1-70 or 1-71 and a 250. I was thinking 20:1 would be a little much.

Aside from priming in the spark plug or into the carb anyone ever make a reserve fuel tank. I have seen it done on cars and small engines but not saws.
A couple tanks have some pretty heavy varnish And the the 1-70 has a mat filter. I was hoping to not have to deal with that to see if they run.

Is there a fuel additive or something like acetone or mineral spirits that works on fuel varnish?

Theres several things for varnish. I really like "goof off". Its a graffiti remover. It will make varnish let go of a carb like no tomorrow. I soaked stiff carb diaphragms in it and it softened them up also. Its a good product for varnish. Bought a gallon of it at ACE hardware.

Nice score! You'll like it for sure, after she comes home pm Mark about a handle insert it'll make it a lot more pleasant to run.

I'll have to look up what a handle insert is. Which is most of the fun for me! I don't know much yet about these Mcculloch's at all, which is very exciting. I do know they sound amazing per your video!

I have been placed in charge of a SP125 for an undetermined amount of time with the only instructions being to "Run it long and hard to make sure there's nothing wrong with it." I installed the 28" roller nose bar off my brother's 1020 and so far I'm very impressed with it and honestly I don't want to give it up. However, I know I'll always be able to borrow it once it leaves. So far I've dropped the Ponderosa with it and bucked it up, tomorrow I'm going to halve and quarter it with the 125. The 81 came along as a limbing saw but it suddenly started running leaner so it's day was cut short and it's now headed to the bench.

Mac 60! I can't say as I've ever seen one but there's a lot of them I've never seen .Fact in conversation some years back with Mike Acres he had never seen a McCulloch 650 which is a gear drive 87 cc engine .I own one . Then if you get into specialty items for example bomb hoists used by the US Navy that used Mac engines my word there's a lot of stuff out there .I know more than most but I certainly don't know every thing .

That must have been in the Black & Decker ownership period.

I have a shop vac and air compressor courtesy of Mike Jackson.

The handle insert goes in the rear handle, you will notice that one tends to bite just a little without it. Saws with the OPL (Operator Presence Lever) or throttle release need the open one, your PM60 can use the solid one shown on the right below.

The "wood grain" look is purely coincidental as a result of the 3D printing process.

Here's one for all of you Mac nuts that I did up. A Pro 10-10 Automatic completely rebuilt, powder coated, electronic ignition conversion and port work with a huge defector for even extra loudness.
Had more pics but they won't load on the site.

One thing I can't show is how much pull this saw has, I'm pushing a crap old chain in har dry Ash and the motor just bucks right up and takes it.
Pretty sweet old saw. @mirage
