That pic is prior to disassembly. But when I put it back together I'm not sure which way the reeds went back in. Does it matter if they are flipped or not?

Doesn't matter as long as they sit on the surface so they will seal.

As far as the idle goes, make sure the throttle linkage isn't bent and not allowing the the throttle plate to close off.

Are you using the rubber mounts or is it bolted right to the tank.

20161219_174039.jpg It has the brace that has 4 bolts to the tank and the ends are secured to the handlebar by hose clamps.

20161219_174457.jpg Can I use a thicker gasket for mounting the reed manifold to the tank or does it have to be thin like the one on the left?

Pulled the tank again tonight to see if the gasket I made was jacked up. Right side of gasket was ripped in half. Not sure if it ripped during installation or when I took it off tonight. Either way I made another one, wider on the sides so it's got a bit more meat. Carb kit and tank gasket gets here Friday. Hopefully have saw back together and running by the weekend. Can't wait to cut some *s-word up and make some noise.

$_3-1.JPG Found this in Iowa on eBay for 85. I don't need the bar just the bracket. Might see if local machine shop can make one up.

Found bar bracket. Looking for second felling dog for 797. All I'm finding are ones for 125s. Anoyone know if they fit both saws. Thanks

All large frame Mac's use the same dogs except the geardrives.
Never seen one with both dogs. Every Mac i have has only one dog
As it's better for felling so you can pivot the saw.
