Nice, I have always wanted a 797.

If you can get your mitts on one I say they are well worth it. I just picked this one up off eBay with bar and chain. Cosmetically it's got wear, magnesium has some pitting, but the runnin gear is healthy.

I finally got some time to install the rubber tank gaskets for the 10 series I purchased from ebay. The fit is perfect and best of all they work!

Good to know on the gaskets Steve, and Merry Christmas!

I have a few of the cork ones in the attic, and a roll of the square "o-ring" material off McMaster Carr so I should be good for a while.

Merry Christmas to you and your family too Mark. Everyone was down for an after party nap so I went to the shop and put that gasket on my rhs 10-10 and put a different carb in my CP-55.


How was everyone's Christmas? I got coal but my kids and wife got everything they ever wanted!

I didn't find out for you and gave up scratching my head on it. Going through some random IPL's closest I came up with was 65654 on crankcase bottom on SP125.

Thanks Kevin. Im pretty sure it fits an early mac carb like a 7-55 ?

I had a good running 790 in Tennessee, we shoulda fired it up and run it against your 125; I think they're to close in power to be able tell any difference.

Steve - part number on the envelope is incorrect, that is 59141, Gasket-Primer for the BP-1 carburetor.

I'm alright. I have followed the crowd from one site to another. Not a huge poster but mostly keep up.

BP1 aye,rare indeed >I had to look that one up on my microfiche .Strangely I don't have the IPL but I do have the shop manual which shows the gasket on what they term is "jet spray primer"

I wish I had a way to convert the fiche to a sendable file but as yet I don't .I've seen only one of this model that Dan Henry had and it didn't run .Weather it ever became operational or for that matter what ever happened with Dan I have no idea .I used to chat with him on the phone but it's been maybe 5 years since.

@awol has one that runs very well. He had it at Randy's gtg
