What does an orginal one look like? Might be an airplane fastener out there?
The kart motors don’t have the upper mount so it must not be a huge concernMcCulloch had more of an actual nut,/insertEAEBEB9A-211D-48B2-95D1-9285C8822CBB.jpegBB50ED9B-E648-467B-BC67-4356822B953A.jpegThe other option for the lower mount is to use a CP mount, many of the SP shrouds are already pre-drilled for this mount 890A3D62-29BD-40DC-90A9-55693BF0EE53.jpeg 233910CC-A123-49BA-8DC1-BDBC1A81E848.jpeg

A well used later, grubby D44 freebie. Fires on prime despite the recoil rope only being 12" long.
It also hurts when that wooden peg starter handle slams my fingers into the rope cup on the recoil.

It came with a .404 Omark chain. Not sure what the period was when they owned Oregon. Mid 60's maybe?

I might add that saw ,rather the first three pictures are as I got it .e-bay and it had sat in a repair shop someplace in Wisconsin for around twenty years with a broken recoil .A little call to Rich Dougan in Oregon and I had one in about a week .The only thing I painted was the muffler guard .

I saw that one and was watching it thinking it was an SP...not sure I would have been able to challenge the other bidders in any case.

For those that are not aware, the PM105 is a rigid mount saw, sort of like a 797 in SP style dress. The 895C is the gear drive version of that saw. Both do really exist but they are quite rare.

To step in and answer Tim's question, yes, the SP105 and SP125 are virtually indistinguishable one from another unless you measure the bore. In smaller wood (say 36" and less) the performance is pretty much the same as well.

I was running my SP105 from Belgian just last week. Amazing that it can set with an empty fuel tank for a year or so and still start in 4 or 5 pulls.

Thanks Mark. It looked like it did.

I wonder if the SP105 was priced a little lower than the SP125?

I'm not certain but I think the SP 105 is on the same platform as a 125C .Mine had a fixed jet carb that once again I called Dougan and got one from a 125 ,fully adjustable which improved it quite a bit .That saw BTW doesn't see much action .I've seen exactly two of them in my life time, mine and a guy by the name of Jim Rigdon who lives about 20 miles from me .They obviously are not a 125 but at 105 cc's they have plenty of grunt .
