So far I've transported a dozen saws to the new place, 10 are McCullochs.
I still have 30 or so saws to fetch and several boxes of misc parts, just need a place to put them.

Seems lately for me its been either 55 cc Macs or 70 cc Macs. I pulled a 7-10 automatic out of a garbage pile a few weeks ago. All it really needed to run was having the fuel line replaced. Now ive done a few more things to it to make it a reliable saw, and it will join the work force wearing a new 20" Archer bar.
In looking for a chain brake flag for it, I came across another PM700 carcass and a cool old 1-10 right hand start Mac thats unfortunately missing the clutch and starter assembly, as well as the front handle.
I also bought a Creamsickle 019T in pieces that may only need a fuel line, carb kit, and good cleaning. No way I could get that lucky. Last one was wasted, but at least I got a parts saw. Getting that one together for my son. He likes the newer stuff. He can add it to the 661 CM and the Husky 455 Rancher that has been a good saw.
Maybe I'll take back my nice Poulan S25DA.
Ok, still derailing the Mac thread, but we all like all brands.
To get back on track, the Stihl 019T will make me appreciate working on a Mini Mac. I know those and the PM6s were bad, but the 019Ts are a true jigsaw puzzle.
Ive heard people fuss about the Homies and Poulan top handles, but those arent bad at all to me. Just perception I guess.

Heres the 7-10A with the new bar. Going to rehab the original recoil assembly and keep that on it, as it shows all of its many battle scars. Hopefully the new Will get worn off that bar soon. BTW, ive heard good and bad about Archer bars, but this one seems solid. Time Will tell. Havent used the chain that came with the bar. Have a nice Stihl full compliment full chisel chain on it for now.
Hoped to keep the Windsor bar that came on this saw, but the sprocket bearing is toast. Bar also has a rainbow in it that needs straightening. Maybe I'll save it if I find a replacement tip down the road.

And here is my next project after sorting out the Creamsickle for the boy and a Homie for my "adopted son".

First McCinderblock ive ever worked on. Belongs to a very good friend of my son and myself. Eric's saw is a PM650. He got it and the parts saw because the PO was just tired of it leaving greasy butt prints all over the place.
First thing it Will have to have is a teardown and degreasing, followed by finding out why it leaks SO MUCH bar oil EVERYWHERE. This thing is covered in it. He also says its temperamental, but a beast when it takes a notion to run.
Anyone have experience with these McBricks and why this one needs to wear Depends to keep from soiling everything with bar oil?

I can already see I have a new addiction. I've always like saws but now I've went from 1 to 10 in 3 months. One is a new saw being portedby Master mind but the rest are 80's on back. All little.

So easy to do.
I started out looking for parts for my "Franken homie" that dad gave me.
Now I cant even tell you how many are stashed around the place here.
I found a guy whos a bigger packrat than I am I guess. He has sooo much nice "treasure" lying around rotting. I want to save ALL of them.
Ok, not ALL of them, just the old ones.

The oil pumps get to leaking on those old 610-650 .I've tried to repair them with exactly zero results .You might try the age old kerosene rinse /flush which may or may not work .
More times than not a defective pump will leak on the impulse side and flood the crankcase .The saw will smoke like it's burning pine knots and coke up the muffler,exhaust port .

Al, I'm not sure it burns oil. Maybe just leaks. He sent a donor saw, so maybe ive got some parts I can use. I'll know more when I get in there.

That diaphragm type oil pump obviously has check valves which should be assumed to be leaking .As I said I've had no luck what so ever repairing them but those were loosing oil through the crankcase impulse side of the pump .It may have a tear,hole,whatever on the discharge side of the pump .I suppose given a choice if it still oiled the bar would be a better choice than not oiling at all .I might be nothing but a blown,loose gasket .It may be a chitty design but those pumps will put out the oil .610's etc are heavy for the size but they can run with more damage than any saw I've ever seen .I suppose straight gas would kill them if nothing else

Seems like this one is leaking from somewhere when the system is not under pressure. It hasnt been started for a long time, and its already shmearing the floor in the shop. It leaves little oil buttprints everywhere.
Havent had time to look, but I'm betting theres a leak to the tank somewhere. Maybe not the pump on this one. Will have to see when I'm not dead tired from my CAD enabler. Otherwise known as a job.

I believe that design is now running deep into the 5 second zone in the ProMod class. They are likely on engines that now produce well in excess of 3000 horsepower.
