There is one local to me but they want a small fortune. $1500.00CAD.
I would be willing to help make it happen.

Nope,I'm cheap. I don't even know what I'd put it in.

The LeSabre was only offered in Canada if my information is correct. As Carl noted, it is the 33/35 power head laid on its side with a bar and chain attached to make it a direct drive. I have seen two of three other left hand bar saws but they are rather few and far between. There were a lot of things you could do with the 33/35/39 power head.

I sent this one off to Mr. Bow Saw in CA a few years back, it had many interesting design features.

I believe this is a Titan model, last seen in a shop in Frankfort, IN.

Thanks for the info
Sitting side by side i can see it's origins.I even ended up with a 33 and 35 in the same pile, they just didn't end up side by side to see the similarities.
I might try to get it running some day because of it's weirdness.

They are built very differently from any other saws, but in fact are pretty easy to work on if you know a few tricks.

Mini Mac on the bench this week. Neighbor brought it over for a muffler, air filter, and a tune because it wouldn't idle. Checked compression, <90 PSI so I told him it would have to be rebuilt, would be >$100, he said go ahead.

Doesn't take too many tools to disassemble a Mini Mac. The ones with the removable starter are easier to get apart.

There were several different versions of the MM, some with chrome bores and plain pistons, some with plated pistons a plain bore. This one had the plated piston and plain bore, most of the chrome is gone and the bore is pretty scratched up. The other side of the piston has even less plating left.

In my opinion the mini Mac is one of the most miserable saws ever made to work on . The 110 and 120's you have to nearly field strip them to do anything to them .There seems to be no middle ground, they either run great or they don't run at all .--yes I have several of them .

Nice haul of Macs! What model is the big saw - 795 or 797?

Great work.

Thanks Chris
Stumbled across the pile that those Mac's were in 4 yrs ago, they were in a widows yard. They were her husbands display when they had a roadside shop. She was finally ready to see them go to a new home.
The single one is a 797 measured the bore to be sure.

Yukon - Is that an early/Canadian version of the Super 250 with the yellow top?

I seen the LeSaber poking its nose up in the background.

Interesting mix.

Hi Mark
How can a person tell if it is a Canadian version of the Super 250,and is there anything different about them?
And yes to the LeSaber,i never saw one of those before this pile, the gas cap said McCulloch so it got in this family photo.
I posted some pic's of the rest of the hoard in the today's snag thread

Later Super 250's had the black top with the holes, the early ones (Canada only?) had the yellow top w/o holes. The later ones had the model number 600100, not sure about the early ones.
