Raked single swaths today. I’ll let that dry until tomorrow and then combine windrows and bale.

Looks like decent windrows to me. Probably a more comfortable seat, too.

Nice seat, ( love it ) but there is no AC in the gator. my old age likes the AC. anymore. ( also don't have too climb down the steps )

Notice the difference in the disc mower and the discbine. Actually the disc mower dried down quicker than the big discbine with out the tedder.

More green hay wrapped today, with sunflowers planted.This is to long for me to get a full picture. I will try to take a couple. My camera will not get the full picture.

We don't have that option. 3 open station tractors, and one with a canopy. Just getting in the shade makes a big difference.

Just the canopy makes a huge difference.
Ran a MF 165 for 10 years then got a JD 2355 with canopy.
Down here in Georgia we get a lot of sunshine.

New gears and chains. Getting ready for haying time when it dries up enough. Need to find or make a new oil reservoir for the auto oiler.

That’s on my agenda as well. Top sprocket is sharp and starting to curl.

Tell me more. I have a big enough tractor to swing a mounted nine foot disc mower. I'm having a hard time believing I don't need crimpers.

Post 3516, big discbine on the right, disc mower on the left. this hay is not raked yet, the 12' discbine is making a windrow to big to dry out without running the tedder, where the disc mower lays all the hay out even to get more sun. This hay is not raked yet. Actually it was baled green and put in the silage roles, He cut it and baled it the next day without even raking it. Apx. 60 to 80 percent moisture. In other words he baled right behind the discbine.

Yes, it makes a( huge difference) Got baby out today to plant more sweet corn, I put this canopy on back in 1980, and have replaced the cover 5 times since then, and need to replace it again. Might just buy the whole frame with the original cover, they last a few years longer.

Canopies are a must. That sun is killer.

My VAC just has a cheap Femco umbrella. Had it 5 years now. Works well as long as its not real windy and you can keep it out of tree limbs.


Built a canopy for my Zetor. Have less than 100 bucks in it including the steel.
