Popoff is probably a bit low. Just like a lot of 7900/7910 zama are.

Sounds about right to me. I just set low expectations for quality control these days from all the brands so I’m not disappointed. Lol

Chain adjuster is funky on mine. I bought a new kit, no change. It is sticky, was from day one.
Little washer is on end of worm screw.
On the worm wheel there is a washer then o-ring towards the outside.
If I loosen the TWO little torx screws holding the
worm screw cover the sticky goes away.
Maybe too much grease or operator idiot error.

Anyone notice this?

Not a big deal. Rainy day, messing around with stuff.

Oh and a dealers IPL is different than mine. They are special, or get updates.

Again.....you are attempting to cast doubt on what I shared. I'm beginning to see that you don't like me. From reading your post you have said you don't like me because I just tell it like it is.

Why do I port 5 series saws? For money. That's absolutely true. What you don't realize is that when I talk to potential customers I'm not shy about telling them exactly how I feel about any saw they ask about. Because of this thread, and your reaction to it, I've decided not to handle anymore 5 series saws. I'm done with them.

As for this air filter. Yes, brand new saw, sealed in the box. The filter stud was cross threaded into the captured nut in the filter base. The nut was turning in the base, so there really wasn't any possible way to remove the air filter. Both are in the trash can. They are both being replaced under warranty btw.

I know this is old quote but I can attest to this I was asking Randy about the 572 vs 462 awhile back about porting. He was straight up about what he has seen and never once talked me out of porting a 572 over a 462 but what took the cake was when he said he has a ported 462 and not a 572. So yes I had him port my 462, however I run a ton of 572 with no issues but if I’m spending the extra port money I wanted the better results saw and that was the 462.

Brand new 572 out of the box. Sold to a tree guy who likes to keep em brand new and then brought it in and it wouldn't run. It would pop but not run, could get it to idle slightly.
Plugged it in, had less than a minute on it.

Did basic diagnostics and it didn't turn up anything. Called tech support, they suggested a carb, I thought coil.

When I took the old coil I found this.

That'll do ya.

Some of the QC on Huskies bothers me.
Crooked stickers, loose spark plugs, disengaged drive shafts, etc. Usually easy remedies and they run like an SOB.

Can't say, but I'm rather certain the warranty repair happens in my shop.

Exact same problem with Dominic’s original bastard coil. Husky recommended a new carb on this one also

Sounds like they need to pay more attention to the online forums.

None of this surprises me. They cut corners on QC to save money and try to keep customers happy with a good warranty same as IKEA.

I would think the stuff coming out of brazil would be as good or better than the stuff coming out of sweden because they can afford to have better QC since the labor is so much cheaper there. Manufacturing saws in sweden is more about the feeling it gives the consumer when they see it on the number plate. Perception of quality is more important than real quality as far as many companies are concerned.
