Luckily here on the Oregon coast...about all we have to worry about is the skeeters. Do get ticks every now and then...never been scared of them. But getting Lyme disease would make me a bit more skeptical...

I don't mind the heat, I can deal. What I do hate are insects and poison ivy/oak, south Ga is full of both. The gnats and mosquitoes down here suck! Seems like every tree I cut is covered in poison oak. I envy the people who are immune.

They're everywhere.
My daughter got one last year in April, her sister mid summer the year before. I brought two home hunting in October / November.

Too much trouble to drag test logs home.
So i use my neighbors 200 acres.
He gave me all the ash and hickory and maple i just take my atv a half mile20170731_162231.jpg 20170730_171411.jpg 20170731_163016.jpg .
i could never cut it all if i tried so when i build a saw i drop tree's for myself or neighbors to tune it and break it in.
i was suprised when i moved here no one drops tree's they just cut up storm damage or deadfall .
I have found ticks but only in tall grass where I've been cutting the cattle have the ground clear and under the canopy it's very cool
And it's more fun than cutting cookies lol

I considered taking the boys camping (real camping like tent in the woods kinda stuff) until they came home from a church day camp with a tick in them two out of five days.

After having Lyme it definitely makes you more cautious.

I absolutely hate the heat. If it's above 40 degrees I am sweating profusely. I generally soak 1 to 2 towels a day with sweat. Couldn't get any wetter if I jumped into a pool. I work outside year round. All projects outside of work are saved for fall and winter
