Ah ok. Yeah I usually let mine sit for a hour or two before I start messing with them.

Runs. I opened the H & L pretty much for all they are worth.

Feels like it picked up some rpms and didn't suffer any loss of bottom. Can stop in cut and start without a hiccup.

Would say I am satisfied with the swap.

Have to get some micro-bits and see if it can pickup a little more on the bottom.

Toes get cold fast today! Though we are bumping +16°F. Not gonna break 10°F tomorrow.

Will probably just run it a little more today. Then put it to work tomorrow.

Good deal bud. Glad it’s working out for you. Grind on her some more and what you can get out of her. Mine feels pretty stout too me All I’ve done is clean up the casting flash so far. Let me know what you come up with.

Eh! Am calling the grinding good enough. Am not looking for a race saw.

Just felt in the wood I cut a little more rpm would be nice if I could get it without losing bottom end torque.

This saw replaced my 359 24" which had the speed just not enough grunt to pull hard when buried. Finess a little and it did fine.

Figure there are some strong saws pretty close to where I landed. I did nudge the intake down to about 77°.

Eventually will get a 24" bar on here. Just have too many 20" chains to wear out first to swap now.

Good deal. I’m just running that 20” stihl bar on mine right now. I’ve got another 24” but for some reason it’s an oddball 058 gauge all my others are 050. I can swap them around but I don’t really like too lol. At least you’re happy with your results bud.

Ran into that on the 70e's
1-20" 058
1-20" 050
Swapped the 20" 058 for a 24" 050.

Those are a blast to run. Still running 8 pins so they aren't far off a modern saw for chain speed. The 24" is mildly ported and squished.

I’ve thought about putting my 24”058 on trading post and see if I can make a trade for a 24 050. It’s just a plain husky bar anyway

Well I've been running this tecomec 365 for almost a year now and its doing great still. Haven't torn into it,but haven't seen a need for that at all yet. Need to do another compression check just to see if its changed any with all the run time.

Maybe the only thing I wanna try is modifying the zama carb that's on it. I'm also pretty sure it's a bit stronger than my 372 with the same bar and chain. Be it all my saws are stock except for MM,BGD and a little carb play. Also have a tecomec crank on the way for another build, most likely with 365 open port cylinder. Also read back through this post today and I'm also thinking on that jonsered 630 piston. Any of you arm twisters have any ideas thoughts?

I'd wait for the Tecomec 365 cylinder to be on the deal of the day for $27 again

.25 off the key and an opened up muffler helped a fair amount. Was definitely one of the more restrictive 036 mufflers I’ve seen, some I’ve had didn’t have a baffle but this one did along with a small outlet.
