IMO the most important things would be good oil/fuel, correct tune, sharp chain, and a clean air filter
Well I use Hi test with Amsoil Saber at 40 to one and keep the gas fresh. Always tuned good and I refuse to use a chain that ain't close to sharp as new. Funny how a groundie can stretch a chain and overheat it in a bout 3 minutes! I still cant figure out how the hell they do that! They must rock it get it dull and push the *s-word out of it way too long.

i am now this was supposed to be a saw thread not a *f-wording oil thread if he wanted to know about oil he could have read the 3000 pages of *B-S.... in the oil thread

Ported moe-fro saw with a tsumura light and a hand filed square chisel chain with the best bike oil .. it wont work any other way.

Id buy a 6100/2258/555 .. but its his money and everyone elses opinion.

I have never ran either of these saws but for me (because I'm a ham fisted person ) which saw oils better?

Yep. To cut a substantial amount without saying wood size or if he's clearing 10 acres or cutting 50 cord of logs thst are dropped would change my pick big time.
